How does the design and selections process work?
- Discovery Call - We begin with a short conversation to learn about your project goals, style, and needs.
- Homeowner Questionnaire - You will answer some questions, share your preferences, and any inspiration boards so we can better understand your vision.
- Designer Introduction Call - We explore design direction options together that start to define the overall look and feel of your space.
- Design Meetings - Meetings consist of a mix of virtual, in-person, and showroom product sourcing. This is the exciting part—choosing and finalizing the pieces that bring your design to life!
- Documentation - Drawings and product lists are prepared for a handoff to your contractor, ensuring a smooth transition for a project that is ready to be built.
- Follow-Up - From start to finish, we are here to support you with answers and design updates when onsite conditions require flexibility.
What will I learn in the Discovery Call?
During your complimentary Discovery Call, our designer will ask several questions and we discuss the design and selections process. It is also a great time to ask any questions you might have about working with a designer.
How does your fee structure work?
Our services are billed at an hourly rate, based on the amount of time required to complete your project.
After our Discovery Call, we will provide an estimate of hours needed to complete your project.

What licensing do you hold?
The Scantique Home is a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). Our lead designer is a Certified Kitchen & Bath Designer (CKBD) through the NKBA.
Our lead designer is also a licensed Realtor and has relationships with other Realtors across the region.
How do I find a contractor to complete the work?
Our company has close relationships with licensed contractors in Frederick County and Montgomery County and can provide an introduction.
We specialize in designs that blend Comfortable Modern, Transitional, Mid-Century Modern, and Scandinavian-Inspired elements. Our lead designer, Rebecca, has more than 13 years of
experience in the industry. As a licensed Kitchen and Bath Designer, she has
led numerous whole-home renovations and additions throughout Washington, D.C.,
Maryland, and Virginia.
In 2019, she received the NKBA (National Kitchen & Bath Association) Thirty Under 30 Award. She also served as the Membership Chair on
the board from 2021 to 2022. Since 2018, she has been actively involved in the
local chapter’s annual Student Day event, which connects interior design
students from local universities with Kitchen and Bath industry professionals.
Rebecca has long been passionate about philanthropy,
particularly in the realm of education. She has served as a panel speaker for
local public schools and has actively volunteered and spoken at various higher
education programs. She is on the board of directors for the Construction Trades Foundation.
Rebecca is a licensed Realtor in the state of Maryland. She
is very connected with local professionals in different sectors of the design
and construction industries.
